I was raised right here in Sacramento and joined the United States Navy to work in the fields of oceanography and meteorology out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. When I transitioned to civilian life I moved to Kansas City to work for the National Weather Service. This is where I fell in love with BBQ. After 5 years in Kansas City, I changed careers and moved back to Sacramento and became the financial controller for a local non-profit. I was asked to join a local Lions Club where I realized I enjoyed cooking for large groups of people. I built my first bbq trailer for the club events using it on the weekends as a hobby. After building up enough repeat customers, I told my wife I thought I could do it full time and she agreed! I haven't look back since.
